A novelty pincushion in the form of a standing pig, cast in .925 silver. The figure is naturalistically modelled with a prominent snout, floppy ears, and a curled tail. The pig is hollow-cast with an opening across the back which contains an inset purple velvet-covered cushion for pins. The underside of the rear-left leg is struck with the fineness mark 925.
