A 1917 sterling silver pin cushion, realistically modelled in the form of a standing pig. The silver body features a snout with nostrils, floppy ears, and a small curled tail. The pig’s back is open and fitted with a dark blue fabric cushion. The exterior bears a set of four British hallmarks: the maker’s mark AD, the walking lion passant sterling silver standard mark, the anchor assay office mark for Birmingham, and the lowercase s date letter for 1917.
