A chrome-plated metal windproof lighter featuring a brushed finish on the front and reverse with polished edges. The front face is decorated with an embossed circular emblem depicting the head of the Statue of Liberty set against a stylised American flag. The emblem is encircled by the struck text STATUE OF LIBERTY, NEW YORK, NY, and U. S. A. The interior mechanism comprises a standard 16-hole chimney insert with a cotton wick and a knurled striking wheel. The lighter is presented in a black textured composite display case. The case lid features gold-tone lettering reading ZIPPO above U.S.A. LIGHTER, with a flame device positioned over the letter I in the brand name. No further maker’s marks or date codes are visible on the exterior of the lighter base.
Condition report:
The lighter shows evidence of previous use with fine surface scratches and minor pitting across the chrome finish. Significant carbon buildup and soot staining are present on the interior chimney and the striking wheel. The cotton wick is charred from use. The plastic display case exhibits light storage wear but remains structurally sound.
