Lot 270: A Zippo Maid of the Mist Souvenir Lighter and Display Box

A pocket lighter featuring a chrome-plated metal case. The front face is decorated with a printed graphic depicting a tour boat against the background of a waterfall. Below the graphic, the text reads NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO CANADA. The lighter is housed in its original black plastic display case which features a gold-tone raised logo reading ZIPPO U.S.A. LIGHTER on the lid. The base of the case bears a white printed label reading 250 MAID OF THE MIST. The internal mechanism features a 16-hole chimney and a circular flint wheel with a cross-hatched pattern. The wick is of woven construction with integrated metal wire reinforcement. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible.
Condition report:
The lighter shows visible surface scratches and scuffing across the polished metal case. The internal chimney and flint wheel exhibit signs of use including soot accumulation and minor oxidation. The wick appears carbonised from previous use. The plastic display case shows light surface wear and minor scuffing to the exterior. Original packaging is present.
