Lot 268: Two 1989 and 1995 Zippo Pocket Lighters, Falkland Islands and V Commemorative

This lot comprises two windproof pocket lighters and a leather sleeve. The first lighter, with a black matte finish, features the coat of arms of the Falkland Islands, depicting a ram above the sailing ship DESIRE. Below the shield is a scroll with the motto DESIRE THE RIGHT and the text FALKLAND ISLANDS printed in gold-toned lettering. The base is struck with the ZIPPO logo, above which is J on the left and XI on the right, and below is BRADFORD, PA. MADE IN U.S.A. The second lighter has a brushed metal finish and features a gold-toned graphic of a stylised profile, accompanied by the Roman numeral V and five horizontal lines. The base is struck with the ZIPPO logo, featuring A to the left and the Roman numeral V to the right, with BRADFORD, PA. below. Both lighters are fitted with 16-hole chimney inserts and horizontal striker wheels. A black leather sleeve with stitched edges and a textured finish is included.
