A 2011 UK 50 pence coin from the London 2012 sports collection, featuring a boxing theme. The coin is of heptagonal form and constructed from cupro-nickel. The reverse design comprises a pair of boxing gloves suspended against the ropes of a boxing ring, with a small stylised logo at the top and the inscription 50 PENCE at the base. The obverse features the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is mounted within its original illustrated card presentation pack. The card features a green and pink geometric design with stylised line drawings of boxers in combat. Printed text on the card includes London 2012 sports collection, Boxing, and the London 2012 Olympic logo.
Condition report:
The coin appears in uncirculated condition with bright original luster and no visible contact marks. The reverse and obverse show no signs of tarnish or environmental wear. The presentation card shows signs of handling, including a soft crease running vertically through the centre and minor wear to the corners and edges. The coin is securely held in its original card packaging.
