A UK 2011 commemorative 50 pence coin, issued as part of the London 2012 sports collection. The coin is presented in its original color-printed card folder. The reverse features a design by Jonathan Olliffe depicting a rhythmic gymnast with a ribbon, with the official LONDON 2012 logo at the top and the legend 50 PENCE at the bottom. The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 2011. The coin is held within a graphic card mount printed in pink and blue with a stylised depiction of a gymnast. The card bears the printed text LONDON 2012 SPORTS COLLECTION, GYMNASTICS, and includes the official logo of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The Royal Mint logo is printed on the reverse of the packaging.
Condition report:
The coin appears to be in brilliant uncirculated condition with no visible contact marks or toning on the reverse surface. The obverse is not visible through the card mount. The original card packaging shows minor signs of handling at the edges and a small surface abrasion above the coin where an adhesive label has been removed. The coin remains securely held within the original presentation folder.
