Lot 549: A Collection of Rectangular Glazed Ceramic Wall Tiles
Not sold
This lot comprises a large collection of ceramic wall tiles, featuring a rectangular subway-style form. Each tile is finished with a glossy teal glaze that exhibits subtle tonal variations and a cushioned edge profile. The ceramic body is an off-white colour, visible on the sides and the reverse of each piece. The reverse of the tiles is moulded with a ribbed texture to facilitate adhesive grip. The collection is stored loose within a blue plastic crate. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the tiles.
Condition report:
The tiles appear to be in unused condition but show signs of handling and loose storage. There is a widespread accumulation of white ceramic dust and grit across the glazed surfaces from contact between the tiles. Some tiles exhibit minor nibbles to the edges and fine surface scratches to the glaze. The collection is supplied loose in an industrial plastic crate.
