Lot 541: An Art Deco Uranium Glass Bowl with Ribbed Decoration

A Mid-20th Century uranium glass serving bowl, of circular form with two integrated flange handles. The bowl is constructed from translucent lime green glass and features molded horizontal step-down ribbing to the exterior, which terminates at the handles. The interior surface is decorated with a sand-etched pattern of stylised foliate or feather motifs arranged in a swirling configuration. The base is molded with a recessed cross-shaped structural design and is finished smooth. The glass exhibits intense neon green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The bowl is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the rim, handles, or base. The glass contains minor air bubbles (seeds) and light surface scratches consistent with the manufacturing process and age.
