Lot 47: A Contemporary Slimline Storage Cabinet with Frosted Glazing
A contemporary slimline storage cabinet, designed for vertical space efficiency. The unit is constructed from composite wood with a light oak-effect laminate finish. The full-length door features a rectangular frosted pane set within a mitred laminate frame, fitted with three silver-toned butt hinges and a vertically oriented brushed metal bar handle. Internally, the cabinet contains eleven fixed shelves providing twelve individual storage compartments, sized for standard media cases. The structure stands on two block feet to the front. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The cabinet shows signs of environmental exposure and storage. The frosted glazing panel exhibits multiple white splatters, water spots, and surface grime across its entire length (photos 1 and 2), with a notable dark stain or residue accumulation near the lower edge (photo 2). The laminate finish displays minor wear and small chips to the edges and corners, particularly at the top and base. The interior shelves and rear panel show light surface dust and transit marks (photo 3). The hinges and handle appear functional.
