Condition report:

The volumes show signs of heavy use and age-related wear. The bindings exhibit significant rubbing, surface abrasions, and loss to the gilt decoration on the spines (photo 1). Several volumes show fraying to the head and tail of the spines and along the joints (photo 5). Internally, the pages show general handling wear, edge toning, and occasional foxing (photo 7). The wooden shelf shows significant dust accumulation, surface scratches, and general wear to the finish throughout (photo 2).
