A 1982 SILVER commemorative coin issued for the Falkland Islands to mark the end of the conflict. The reverse design features a large Union Jack flag as a backdrop with the Falkland Islands coat of arms positioned in the lower left foreground. The coat of arms depicts a ram standing above the sailing ship DESIRE, with a scroll below inscribed DESIRE THE RIGHT. The reverse is further inscribed LIBERATION at the top and 14th JUNE 1982 around the lower right periphery. The coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule, which is set within a black velvet-lined presentation case. The interior of the case lid features a cream paper insert printed with the Falkland Islands coat of arms and the text THE FALKLAND ISLANDS LIBERATION CROWN. No hallmark or fineness stamp is visible on the coin or packaging.

Condition report:

The coin exhibits original luster with light golden-brown toning visible around the peripheries of the reverse. No significant contact marks or surface scratches are visible through the capsule. The protective plastic capsule shows light surface scuffing and dust. The presentation box is intact with a small mark to the velvet lining.
