The reverse features a Manx cat in a walking pose, encircled by a rope-effect border and the struck legends TWENTY FIVE PENCE and the date 1975. The coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule, set within a black velvet-effect insert of a red textured-synthetic-leather-clad hinged presentation case. The interior cream fabric lid is printed in black with a stylised castle-and-lion crest beside the text POBJOY MINT SUTTON SURREY ENGLAND. No fineness marks or hallmarks are visible on the coin or packaging.
Condition report:
The coin exhibits signs of environmental exposure, with significant yellowish and brownish toning and spots of oxidation across the reverse fields and periphery (photos 1 and 2). The struck surfaces retain a bright luster consistent with a specimen or proof strike. The presentation case shows light wear and a small area of surface loss to the interior fabric lining (photo 1). The coin is supplied in a clear plastic capsule and its original presentation box.
