Lot 84: A Wessex Mint 1 Gram 999 Fine Silver Britannia Bar
A rectangular silver bullion bar produced by the Wessex Mint. The obverse features a central depiction of Britannia in a classical helmet, holding a trident and a shield decorated with the Union Jack. A vertical legend to the left reads BRITANNIA. The lower section of the bar is struck with the name Wessex Mint below a circular mark containing a monogram of the letters F and M. The base of the bar is inscribed with the weight and purity 1 GRAM and 999 FINE SILVER. The reverse is plain with a textured surface.

Condition report:
The bar shows evidence of significant environmental exposure and handling. The obverse and reverse surfaces exhibit heavy dark toning and oxidation throughout. Multiple fine surface scratches and contact marks are visible across the raised and recessed areas, with some minor burring present along the edges. The bar is not supplied with a protective capsule or assay card.
