Lot 27: A Tri-Colour Braided 925 Silver Herringbone Chain Necklace
A tri-colour braided 925 silver necklace, featuring a multi-strand herringbone construction. The design consists of three flat snake-link style strands intertwined to form a single flexible braid. The strands exhibit three distinct finishes: a silver-tone finish, a yellow gold-tone finish, and a rose gold-tone finish. The necklace is secured with a lobster claw clasp attached to teardrop-shaped end tabs. A hallmark is struck into one of the end tabs, consisting of the characters 925 in an oval cartouche. A further mark is present on the reverse of the lobster claw clasp, but the characters are not legible. No maker’s marks or country of origin stamps are visible.

Condition report:
The necklace shows signs of heavy tarnish and oxidation across all surfaces. The silver-tone strand and the clasp components exhibit prominent darkening and surface tarnish. The yellow and rose gold-tone finishes show significant signs of wear and fading, particularly on the raised edges of the braid. The herringbone links appear structurally sound with no visible kinks or breaks. The clasp mechanism remains functional.
