Lot 26: An Italian 925 Silver Dolphin Link Bracelet
An Italian 925 silver link bracelet featuring a repetitive swimming dolphin motif. The bracelet is composed of ten cast dolphin-shaped links, each joined nose-to-tail to form a continuous chain. The dolphins are rendered in a three-dimensional form with curved bodies, dorsal fins, and flukes. The bracelet is secured by a lobster claw clasp attached via a circular jump ring to a teardrop-shaped terminal link. Stamped marks are visible on the terminal connector piece; one side is struck with a small oval cartouche containing the fineness mark 925, and the other side bears the origin mark ITALY, oriented vertically.
Condition report:
The bracelet shows signs of wear and environmental exposure. There is significant oxidation and tarnish across all links, particularly concentrated in the recessed areas around the fins and tails (photo 1). Fine surface scratches and minor scuffs are visible on the polished surfaces of the dolphins and the clasp mechanism. The lobster claw clasp is functional. No protective case or original packaging is present.
