Lot 242: A 9ct Yellow Gold Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring
A 9ct yellow gold cluster ring featuring a central heart-cut blue gemstone, consistent in appearance with a sapphire, held in a three-prong setting. The central stone is surrounded by a halo of ten small round-cut clear gemstones, consistent in appearance with diamonds, set into a white metal cluster head. The ring features a tapered yellow gold shank. The interior of the shank bears several struck marks: a stamped inscription reading DIA is located on the left side, and three hallmark punches are present on the right side. The first hallmark punch is readable as 375, indicating 9-carat gold purity; the remaining two punches are present but the individual characters are not readable. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.

Condition report:
The ring shows signs of wear and handling. The yellow gold shank exhibits visible surface scratching and scuffing, particularly to the lower half (photo 1). The metal surfaces appear somewhat dull. The gemstones are intact and appear securely held within their prongs. No chips or facet wear are visible to the stones under standard viewing conditions. No original packaging or certification is present.
