The coins are arranged around a central illustration of Buckingham Palace in silver-toned print. The set includes a 1965 commemorative Crown, a 1961 Half Crown, a 1962 Florin, a 1962 English Shilling, a 1961 Scottish Shilling, a 1962 Sixpence, a 1961 Threepence, a 1963 Penny, and a 1962 Halfpenny. Each coin features the laureate obverse portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F. D. The 1965 Crown features the reverse portrait of Winston Churchill with the legend CHURCHILL. The display board includes printed silver-toned titles for each denomination: HALF CROWN, CROWN, ENGLISH SHILLING, SCOTTISH SHILLING, FLORIN, HALFPENNY, THREEPENCE, SIXPENCE, and PENNY, along with the heading COINAGE OF GREAT BRITAIN. The coins are constructed from cupro-nickel, nickel-brass, and bronze. No metal fineness marks or hallmarks are visible.

Condition report:

The coins show varying degrees of toning and surface contact marks. The bronze penny and halfpenny exhibit darkening and loss of original lustre. The cupro-nickel coins show light surface wear and minor tarnishing, particularly the 1965 crown. The plastic case has surface scuffing and fine scratches throughout. The set is supplied in its original red card and plastic display case.
