Lot 158: A Collection of European Sports Car Models including DetailCars and High Speed
This lot comprises an assortment of model sports cars with metal bodies and plastic chassis components. The group includes a yellow model of a PORSCHE 356 A CABRIOLET, featuring a black interior and a raised hood. The base is printed in white with C.D.C. DetailCars MADE IN CHINA, PORSCHE 356 A CABRIOLET ART 225, and 1:43. Also included is a silver model of a PORSCHE 550 RS SPYDER 1955, bearing the racing number 130 on the bonnet and doors, with red interior seating. The base is marked HIGH R SPEED and MADE IN CHINA. A second silver model depicts a PORSCHE N.1 1948 with a red interior, the base reading BY HIGH SPEED – SPECIAL EDITION and MADE IN CHINA. The final model is a green JAGUAR ‘E’ TYPE with a black interior. The base is marked with a cursive logo for DEL PRADO and reads 1/43 1961 JAGUAR ‘E’ TYPE, MADE IN CHINA. All models feature plastic windshields and steering wheel details.
Condition report:
The models show signs of play wear and environmental exposure, with a heavy accumulation of surface dust across all items. The green Jaguar shows significant paint loss and chipping to the front bumper and wheel arches (photo 1). The yellow Porsche exhibits minor paint loss on the front hood and bumper edges (photo 2). The silver Porsche 550 RS Spyder appears to have a loose or partially detached plastic component on the underside (photo 5). The plastic windshields on all models show fine surface scratches and scuffing. No original packaging is present.
