Lot 157: A Collection of Porsche Model Cars on Identification Plinths
This lot comprises a collection of six model cars, each presented on an individual black rectangular display plinth. The models represent various iterations of Porsche vehicles, including the 944 and 911 series. Each plinth bears a printed silver-tone identification label in capital letters. The first model is an open-top car with a red body and black interior, labelled PORSCHE 944 S2 CABRIO 1989. The second is an open-top car with a silver body and blue interior, labelled PORSCHE 911 CARRERA CABRIO 1993. The third is a coupe with a dark blue body and wide rear wing, with a partially legible label reading PORSCHE 911 GT1. The fourth is a coupe with a black body and red interior, labelled PORSCHE 911 TURBO COUPE 1995. The fifth is a coupe with a red body and grey interior, featuring opening doors, labelled PORSCHE 911 CARRERA COUPE 1997. The final model is a coupe with a blue body and light grey interior, labelled PORSCHE 911 TURBO 2000. Each model is constructed with a metal body, plastic interior components, and rubber-style tyres. No manufacturer names are visible on the upper surfaces of the plinths or the models.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of display wear and environmental exposure. The silver 911 Carrera Cabrio 1993 exhibits significant dust accumulation within the open interior and a small paint chip on the front nearside wheel arch. The blue 911 Turbo 2000 and black 911 Turbo Coupe show notable dust layers on the roofs and rear spoilers. The red 944 S2 Cabriolet has visible particulate matter on the seats and dashboard. The silver-tone lettering on the identification labels shows minor fading and surface wear, most notably on the 1993 Carrera Cabrio plinth. The models are supplied on plinths only; no acrylic covers or original outer packaging are present.
