Lot 159: Three Porsche Model Cars including 959, 928 S4 and 911 Carrera Targa
This lot comprises three model cars, each mounted on a black plastic display plinth. The first is a 1986 Porsche 959 coupe finished in black with a tan interior and silver-tone wheels. The second is a 1986 Porsche 928 S4 coupe finished in metallic purple with a tan interior. The third is a 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa finished in black with a red interior and a transparent amber-coloured roof panel. Each plinth features a raised black plastic label with white printed text identifying the model. The labels read PORSCHE 959 COUPE 1986, PORSCHE 928 S4 COUPE 1986, and PORSCHE 911 CARRERA TARGA 1995 respectively. The models are constructed from metal and plastic components. No maker’s marks or logos for a toy manufacturer are visible on the exterior of the plinths.
Condition report:
The models show signs of heavy environmental dust accumulation across all surfaces. The 1995 Porsche 911 Targa exhibits significant fogging and clouding to the transparent plastic roof and window components (photo 1). The 1986 Porsche 928 S4 has a small chip to the paintwork on the front bonnet (photo 1). Minor surface scuffing is visible to the plastic trim and wing mirrors of all three vehicles. The models are supplied on their original plastic bases but are missing their protective clear acrylic display covers.
