Lot 155: Two N Scale Static Model Locomotives, DB Class 103 and Mikado L1
This lot comprises two static model locomotives in N scale (1:160). The first is an electric locomotive modeled after the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) Class 103.1, featuring a cream and crimson livery. The body includes detailed pantographs in red and printed side windows. The side is printed with a DB logo and the identification number 103 132-7, along with the manufacturer initials AEG. It is presented on a plastic track base within a clear plastic blister pack featuring a label with a German flag and the text GERMANY. The second item is a steam locomotive and tender modeled after the Pennsylvania Railroad Mikado L1 class. The locomotive is finished in matte black and features the cab number 1662. The accompanying tender includes a simulated coal load and the word PENNSYLVANIA printed in gold lettering. The underside of the locomotive is embossed with the text N SCALE 1:160 and the letters CIL. The tender is mounted on a plastic track plinth featuring the printed text MIKADO L1 PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD.
Condition report:
The DB Class 103.1 electric locomotive is housed in its original clear plastic blister packaging (photo 1). The Mikado L1 steam locomotive is currently detached from its display base, with at least one screw missing from the underside (photo 5). The locomotive shows a slight separation from the cab area (photo 5). The tender remains attached to the base (photo 2). Both models show minor surface dust.
