Lot 154: A Pair of N Scale 1:160 Static Model Locomotives
This lot comprises two static model locomotives mounted on textured plastic display plinths, each intended for exhibition. The first model is a blue and yellow locomotive featuring a grey roof and red roof-mounted components. The nose section bears the printed legend 1047 001-1 in black, which is repeated in smaller characters on the side. The plinth features a gold-coloured adhesive label reading MÁV 1047 and a small printed flag labelled HUNGARY. The second model is a light blue diesel-electric unit featuring a weathered red and white graphic on the side. The cab and nose are printed with the number 2130. The plinth for this model carries three labels: a central gold-coloured label reading CLASS 2130 CO-CO, a small Australian flag label marked AUSTRALIA, and a right-aligned gold label stating N 1:160 G=9MM. Both models are constructed from plastic with metal detailing. No manufacturer names are legibly marked on the models or their display bases.
Condition report:
Both models show significant surface grime and heavy dust accumulation across all upper surfaces (photo 1). The 1047 model shows particular dust ingress around the red roof components and the yellow nose sections (photo 4). The Class 2130 model features a visible fracture to the plastic corner of the front walkway below the safety railings (photo 5). The black safety railings on this model appear slightly bowed. The plastic display plinths show minor surface wear and adhesive labels are slightly lifting at the corners. Neither model is supplied with original outer packaging or a protective display case.
