Lot 125: A 5 oz .999 Fine Copper Art Bar, Alien Subject
A 5 oz commemorative art bar struck in fine copper. The obverse features a detailed monochromatic sepia-toned illustration of an extraterrestrial head, incorporating intricate bio-mechanical patterns, a third eye, and celestial motifs including a galaxy and vertical columns of stylised glyphs. The reverse displays a full-colour graphic of a circular spacecraft hovering over a futuristic cityscape, emitting a central red beam above a silhouetted figure and a glowing blue orb. The lower edge of the reverse is struck with the legend 5 OZ .999 FINE COPPER. A small triangular logo is present in the upper right corner containing the Greek letters PI and SIGMA and the letter S. The bar is housed in a fitted clear plastic protective capsule. No other maker’s marks or signatures are visible.

Condition report:
The copper bar appears to be in excellent condition with no visible signs of oxidation or handling wear to the metal surfaces. The colourised application on the reverse exhibits a slight texture consistent with the printing process. The obverse sepia tones remain crisp and even. The protective plastic capsule shows some light surface scuffing and a minor crack at the bottom edge, though it continues to provide a secure seal for the item.
