Lot 124: UK 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Banknote
A commemorative banknote and accompanying documentation issued for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. The commemorative note is presented in an olive green and black colour palette and displays a central vignette featuring a portrait of the Queen in ceremonial dress. The face of the note bears the legends UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN, DIAMOND JUBILEE, and ONE POUND in stylized fonts. The text NOT LEGAL TENDER is printed in the upper right quadrant. Two serial numbers are present: QE02062012 and QE06021952. The reverse of the note, visible through the mount, includes the Royal Coat of Arms and a commemorative text block detailing the 60th anniversary. Condition report:
The commemorative banknote appears to be in uncirculated condition with sharp corners and no visible folds or handling marks. The certificate of authenticity is similarly well-preserved, showing no signs of creasing or environmental damage. Both items are housed within clear plastic mounts inside the original black card folder, which remains in excellent condition with crisp edges and legible gold embossing.
