The central crown features the laureate portrait of Elizabeth II on the obverse with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F. D. and the date 1965 below the portrait. The surrounding cupro-nickel, brass, and bronze denominations also feature the laureate portrait of the Queen on the obverse. The reverse designs include the royal shield on the half crown, a Tudor rose on the florin, individual shields for the English and Scottish shillings, a portcullis on the dodecagonal three pence, and a seated Britannia on the penny. The case is printed with white text identifying each denomination and bears the central inscription E II R 1965. No maker’s marks or manufacturer labels are visible on the case or coins.

Condition report:

The coins show varying degrees of environmental toning and surface oxidation. The cupro-nickel pieces, including the crown, half crown, and florin, exhibit surface dulling and minor contact marks. The bronze penny and half penny show significant brown toning and surface mottling. The brass three pence displays dark tarnish across the obverse and reverse fields. The plastic display case has fine surface scratches and scuffing to the exterior surfaces.
