Lot 314: A 2014 UK Makita 5704R Electric Circular Saw in Fitted Case
A 2014 Makita electric circular saw, model 5704R, featuring a teal composite housing and metal base plate. The tool is designed with a circular metal blade protected by a metal guard and includes a black plastic dust extraction port. It is fitted with a grey power cable terminating in a yellow industrial site plug. The unit is housed in a matching teal-coloured moulded plastic carry case with sliding latches. The upper blade guard and primary handle feature the MAKITA logo in raised lettering, consistent with the manufacturer’s established branding. Condition report:
The tool shows signs of heavy industrial use and environmental exposure. Significant sawdust and construction residue is present across the housing, cable, and internal case surfaces (Photo 1, 2). Surface oxidation and rust are visible on the saw blade, metal base plate, and adjustment fasteners (Photo 1). The yellow plug and power cable show surface dirt but remain intact (Photo 2). The tool is housed in its original moulded plastic carry case. Mechanical functionality is not tested.
