Lot 315: A Makita DAB+ Job Site Radio with Folding Handle
A job site radio, featuring a teal-coloured composite housing with protective corner bumpers and a circular metal speaker grille. The unit is designed with a top-mounted folding handle and a flexible antenna. The front control panel houses a digital display above five circular preset buttons and auxiliary buttons labelled BAND, ADVANCED, INFO, and AUTO TUNE. A large central dial is inscribed VOLUME and PUSH TUNING/SELECT with symbols – and +. A port at the base is marked AUX IN 1. Printed white inscriptions on the side and front include the maker’s name MAKITA, the logo DAB+, and the text DIGITAL AUDIO BROADCASTING. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The radio shows signs of heavy industrial use and environmental exposure. A large vertical crack is visible through the composite casing on the side panel (photo 1). The metal speaker grille shows signs of surface rust and oxidation (photo 1). The entire exterior is coated in dust and construction-related grime, with numerous scuffs and scratches throughout (photos 1 and 2). The power supply and battery are not present. Functional status is untested.
