Lot 84: 2012 Year Of The Dragon Pure Silver One Ounce Coin
A 2012 commemorative coin, struck in pure silver and presented in a clear protective capsule within a polished dark wood display case. The reverse design features a detailed dragon amongst stylised clouds with the inscription YEAR OF THE DRAGON and the Chinese character 龍. The coin is accompanied by a red and black printed card which bears the legends THE 2012. YEAR OF THE DRAGON PURE SILVER ONE OUNCE COIN and CELEBRATE THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON. The obverse is obscured by the interior lining of the presentation case. The wooden box features a black velvet-lined interior and a hinged lid. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

The reverse of the coin is in uncirculated condition with a proof-like finish and no visible contact marks, toning, or environmental damage (photo 1). The obverse is not visible for inspection. The wooden presentation case, card, and protective capsule show no signs of wear or handling.
