Lot 83: SMP Bullion England .999 Silver 50g Cast Bar
A contemporary cast bullion bar, of rectangular form with rounded edges. The piece is produced using a poured manufacturing process, resulting in a coarse, textured surface across all facets. The face of the bar features several struck inscriptions: at the top, the letters SMP positioned above the word BULLION; in the centre, the numbers 999 above the words SILVER and ENGLAND; and the weight 50G at the bottom. The reverse displays a plain, textured cast finish. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The bar shows signs of handling and environmental exposure. The face and sides exhibit a dense network of surface scratches, nicks, and small impact marks (photos 1 and 2). Visible reddish-brown toning and oxidation is concentrated in the lower-left corner of the face and within the recesses of the stamped characters (photo 2). No protective capsule or original packaging is supplied.
