Lot 170: USA Colt 45 .999 Fine Copper Commemorative Round
A commemorative copper round, featuring a profile strike of a Colt 45 Single Action Army revolver. The obverse depicts the firearm in profile with a textured grip, surrounded by the struck legends COLT 45, PRODUCTION 1873-∞, and SINGLE ACTION ARMY in raised block lettering. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with outspread wings, featuring a shield to the breast and clutching an olive branch and three arrows in its talons. Struck legends to the reverse read USA, COPPER .999 FINE, and ONE A.V.D.P. OUNCE. The round is struck from .999 fine copper. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The round shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse exhibits numerous fine surface scratches and abrasions across the field (photo 1), with minor dark toning visible in the recessed areas of the strike and the textured grip. The reverse displays similar handling marks and surface scratches across the eagle motif and legends (photo 2). No protective capsule or original packaging is supplied.
