Buyer's Premium:

A bullion round produced by the Scottsdale Mint, struck in .999 fine silver. The obverse features a stylised crowned lion’s head facing forward, set against a radial sunburst background and enclosed by a wide, gear-patterned rim. The reverse is dominated by a central inscription reading 1/2 OUNCE, set against a similar sunburst motif. The upper rim is inscribed SCOTTSDALE MINT, while the lower rim bears the legend ONE HALF OF A TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER. The round features a reeded edge and is of solid precious metal construction.

Weight: 0.5 oz t (15.55g).


Condition report:

The round shows signs of handling and light environmental exposure. The obverse displays numerous fine surface scratches and scuffing across the raised lion\'s head and the sunburst field (photo 2). The reverse exhibits similar handling marks, with scuffing visible on the central lettering and inscriptions (photo 1). Minor contact marks and nicks are present along the reeded edge (photo 1). Light peripheral toning is evident on both sides. No protective capsule or case is included.
