Lot 160: UK 2012 The Royal Mint Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Coin
A UK 2012 commemorative coin, featuring a circular form and reeded edge. The obverse depicts a crowned, right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, circumscribed by the legend HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II 2012. The reverse features the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom, surrounded by the inscription DIAMOND JUBILEE 1952-2012. The coin is presented in a red hinged box with a black velvet-lined interior. The exterior lid features a printed stylised graphic of a crown and the Union Jack with the text QUEEN’S DIAMOND JUBILEE 60. The white silk lid lining is printed with a royal crest above the text THE ROYAL MINT. No hallmarks or fineness marks are visible on the coin or the packaging.
Condition report:
The coin appears in brilliant uncirculated condition with strong lustre and no visible wear. The obverse shows no contact marks or scratches (photo 1), and the reverse remains free from visible tarnish (photo 3). The original presentation box is in good condition with no significant scuffs to the exterior or interior lining (photo 2).
