This lot comprises six unused commemorative postage stamps from the United Kingdom, featuring various designs printed by HARRISON. The collection includes a 1968 Christmas issue inscribed ONE SHILLING AND SIXPENCE, LOUIS LE NAIN, and HARRISON. Two stamps from the 1966 British Landscapes series are present, one inscribed TARR STEPS, PREHISTORIC, 4D, MATTHEWS, and HARRISON, the other M4 VIADUCT 1965, 1S 9D, MATTHEWS, and HARRISON. Two stamps from the 1966 British Technology series are included, inscribed JET ENGINE, 1/6, SHARLAND, and HARRISON, and RADAR, 4D, and HARRISON. The set is completed by a 1967 British Paintings issue inscribed CONSTABLE 1821, 1/9, and HARRISON. Each stamp displays a silhouette of Queen Elizabeth II alongside multicoloured graphic and pictorial designs. The stamps are issued with perforated edges. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items beyond the printed philatelic legends and denomination markings.
Condition report:
The stamps appear to be in mint, uncancelled condition with vibrant colours and well-preserved perforations. The centering is generally good across the set, with the RADAR 4D issue showing a slight shift towards the lower left margin. No visible creases, tears, or surface staining are present on the face of the stamps.
