A spherical glass paperweight, featuring a clear glass body encasing a multi-layered internal design. The central decoration consists of a vertical column of white frit-like glass, which is surrounded by multiple concentric, spiralling ribbons of magenta and deep violet glass. The arrangement of these coloured bands creates a dynamic vortex effect within the sphere. Several small internal air bubbles, known as seeds, are trapped within the clear glass casing. The piece is finished with a high-polish exterior and a flattened, polished base. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The paperweight is in good overall condition. The exterior glass surface exhibits a high polish with no visible chips, cracks, or deep scratches. Several small internal seeds are present, which are an inherent feature of the manufacturing process. The circular pattern of white dots visible at the crown is a reflection of photographic lighting and is not a defect. No original packaging is supplied.
