An oval commemorative medal, featuring polychrome and relief decoration. The obverse depicts a figure on a rearing white horse dispatching a dragon with a spear, set against a background including a stylised flag and floral emblems. It bears the two-line inscription SAINT GEORGE in the left field. The reverse features a similar scene in relief contained within a floral wreath composed of roses, thistles, daffodils, and shamrocks. The vertical inscription THE BRITISH PATRON SAINTS is struck to the left of the central motif, and a small crest containing an illegible character is struck to the right. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The medal exhibits a high-luster finish with no signs of environmental exposure or handling. The obverse and reverse surfaces show no visible wear, toning, or contact marks. The medal is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule.
