A United Kingdom silver crown dated 1935, issued to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V. The obverse features the bare-headed coinage portrait of the monarch facing left, surrounded by the struck legend GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP: The reverse displays a stylised Art Deco rendition of Saint George and the Dragon, with the legend CROWN to the left and the date 1935 to the right. The designer’s initials PM are struck in the lower right field below the horse. The coin is composed of .500 fine silver. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item beyond the struck coinage legends.
Condition report:
The coin shows signs of circulation and environmental exposure. The obverse exhibits moderate wear to the high points of the hair and beard, with numerous small contact marks and patches of dark grey toning throughout the fields. The reverse shows similar wear to the horse and rider figures, accompanied by fine surface scratches and uneven tarnish. No protective capsule or original packaging is present.
