The coin is presented in its original blue hinged case with a red velvet-lined interior and a clear protective plastic capsule. The obverse features an equestrian portrait of the Queen riding side-saddle, surrounded by a beaded border and a struck legend reading ELIZABETH II DG REG FD 1977. An included certificate of authenticity bears a printed crest featuring a shield with lions and a harp, surmounted by a crown and flanked by a tower and a Tudor rose, with a ribbon below reading ROYAL MINT. The interior lid of the case displays a matching crest and the words ROYAL MINT. The certificate confirms the coin was struck in sterling silver.

The coin is in excellent uncirculated condition, exhibiting a proof finish with frosted relief and mirrored fields. The obverse shows no visible contact marks, toning, or environmental tarnish.
