A UK 1910 silver one shilling coin. The obverse features a bare head portrait of King Edward VII facing right, with the legend EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX. The initials DES are struck at the base of the neck. The reverse depicts the Royal Crest, comprising a lion standing atop an imperial crown, flanked by the date 19 10. The reverse legend reads FID: DEF: IND: IMP: at the top and ONE SHILLING at the base. Struck in sterling silver, the coin displays a circulated, greyish-silver patina with areas of darker toning around the lettering and design elements.
Condition report:
The coin shows signs of circulation and handling. The obverse (photo 2) displays moderate wear to the high points of the hair and beard, with numerous small contact marks across the field and a greyish-silver patina. The reverse (photo 1) exhibits wear to the lion\'s mane and crown details, with darker toning concentrated around the lettering and design elements. No protective capsule or original packaging is supplied.
