This lot comprises a set of seven coins struck in silver with a proof finish. The set contains the one pound, fifty pence, twenty pence, ten pence, five pence, two pence, and one penny denominations. The obverse of each coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse of the one pound coin depicts the full Royal Shield of Arms, while the remaining six coins each display a section of the shield designed by Matthew Dent. Legible inscriptions on the coin reverses include ONE POUND, FIFTY PENCE, TWENTY PENCE, TEN PENCE, FIVE PENCE, TWO PENCE, and ONE PENNY. The coins are mounted in a clear acrylic frame within a black presentation case. The lid bears a crowned shield logo. Included is a Certificate of Authenticity numbered 2216 and a descriptive booklet, both of which are printed with the legend THE ROYAL MINT and 2008 UNITED KINGDOM COINAGE ROYAL SHIELD OF ARMS SILVER PROOF COLLECTION.

The set is supplied in its original Royal Mint presentation packaging.
