A 2017 Canadian 8 Dollars silver coin, struck in .9999 fine silver. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, surrounded by the struck legends ELIZABETH II, D.G. REGINA, and 8 DOLLARS. The reverse depicts a cluster of three maple leaves against a background of radial lines, featuring a micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark positioned to the right of the central leaves. The reverse legends are struck as CANADA, 2017, 9999, and FINE SILVER 1 1/2 OZ ARGENT PUR. The coin is presented in a clear plastic protective capsule containing a black foam ring. No maker’s name is legibly struck on the coin or packaging.

Condition report:
The coin shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse displays light surface contact marks on the raised features of the portrait (photo 2) and peripheral toning along the upper rim (photo 3). The reverse exhibits significant peripheral toning and tarnish concentrated around the outer edge (photo 1 and photo 4). The coin is supplied in a clear plastic protective capsule.
