A contemporary .999 fine copper bullion round from the Tales of Old series, featuring high-relief thematic decoration. The obverse depicts a hooded skeletal figure positioned above a boat on a body of water, situated below three skulls. A circular mark containing a stylised hourglass symbol is impressed to the right of the figure. The legend A COIN FOR THE FERRYMAN is struck along the left rim. The reverse features the central text TALES OF OLD, surrounded by an hourglass, an open book, a compass rose, and a flaming torch, all framed by laurel branches. The lower right border is inscribed with the weight and purity 1 OZ AVDP .999 FINE COPPER. The round has a reeded edge and polished fields. No maker’s name is readable on the item.

Condition report:
The round shows signs of handling and natural environmental toning. The obverse exhibits fine surface scratches, contact marks, and darkening in the recessed areas of the design (photo 2). The reverse shows fine surface scratches and light handling marks across the polished fields (photo 1). No protective capsule or original packaging is present.
