This lot comprises two costume jewellery brooches. The first is a stylised four-loop bow brooch, constructed from white metal and pavé-set with multi-tonal blue faceted stones in shades of aquamarine, teal, and cobalt. The design includes a central knot and pointed terminals to the lower loops. The second brooch is a circular openwork wreath, featuring four large faceted pink stones at the centre surrounded by smaller faceted glass stones in shades of amethyst, pale pink, and burgundy. The white metal setting includes foliate elements and floral sprays. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The brooches show signs of varied wear. The bow brooch appears in good condition with all stones present and secure (photo 1). The floral wreath brooch exhibits stone loss, with small faceted elements missing from the leaf tips at the 2 o\'clock and 8 o\'clock positions (photo 1). The metal settings show minor surface wear.
