A set of five Regency style reproduction mahogany tables, comprising a central circular coffee table and four nesting quadrant-shaped side tables. The central table features a green leather inset top decorated with a gilded foliate border, an inner circular gilded border, and a central starburst motif. The four side tables have matching green leather inset tops with gilded borders and are designed to fit beneath the main table frame. Each table stands on turned and fluted legs. The nesting side tables include a lower tier shaped mahogany shelf. The underside of the central table shows a cross-brace construction secured with wooden blocks and screws. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on any of the pieces.
Condition report:
The green leather top of the main circular table shows a significant dark stain and areas of surface discoloration near one edge (photo 1). Scattered surface scratches and minor indentations are visible across the leather surfaces of all tables (photo 3). The lower wooden shelves on the nesting tables exhibit light watermarks and surface scratches (photo 7). General scuffing, small nicks, and minor finish loss are present on the turned legs and along the outer edges of the table rims (photo 4).
