The circumscribed legend reads VICTORIA D:G: BRITT: REG: F:D: (Victoria Dei Gratia Britanniarum Regina Fidei Defensor). The reverse depicts the scene of St George on horseback slaying a dragon, a design by Benedetto Pistrucci, with the date 1891 in the exergue. Small engraver initials B.P. are present on the ground line under the horse’s right rear hoof. The coin is struck in .925 silver with a greyish-silver tone and a milled edge.

Condition report:

Circulated, fine condition showing moderate wear on the high points of the portrait and equestrian figure. Numerous contact marks, scratches, and small nicks are present across the fields. Darker toning and accumulated grime are visible in the recessed areas of the design.
