A hand-painted matte-glazed porcelain figurine of a male ring-necked pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) produced by Giuseppe Armani for Florence Sculture d’Arte. The bird is modeled in a naturalistic standing pose with its head turned to the left, featuring detailed plumage, a red facial wattle, and a distinctive white neck ring. The bird is mounted upon an integral porcelain base textured to resemble leafy ground, which is set onto a stepped, polished wooden oval plinth. A raised oval cartouche on the front edge of the porcelain base features the incised script signature of the artist. The decoration is finished in realistic earthy tones of brown, tan, and green, with a glossy dark finish to the head.

Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of professional restoration. All delicate extremities, including the head crest and the long, thin tail feathers, are intact. There is a very minor glaze skip or light paint wear to the tip of the beak. The wooden plinth shows only light signs of shelf wear to the underside.
