Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
A 1986 United Kingdom Brilliant Uncirculated coin collection issued by the Royal Mint as a promotional set for the Bradford & Bingley Building Society. The set comprises seven denominations: bronze one penny and two pence; copper-nickel five pence, ten pence, twenty pence, and fifty pence; and a nickel-brass one pound coin. The reverses feature standard circulating designs including the crowned portcullis, Prince of Wales feathers, crowned thistle, crowned lion, crowned Tudor rose, seated Britannia, and the thistle within a royal diadem. All coins feature the third circulating portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf on the obverse. The collection is presented in the original blue card commemorative folder titled COIN OF THE REALM, featuring the Bradford & Bingley Building Society logo of two men in bowler hats. Each coin is secured within a transparent plastic protective film.
Condition report:
Brilliant uncirculated. Coins exhibit full original mint lustre. The blue presentation folder shows minor age-related wear and light bumping to the card edges and corners. Plastic inserts remain intact.
