A collection of seven coins issued by the Royal Mint in 1991, struck to proof standard. The set contains a fifty pence, twenty pence, ten pence, five pence, one pound, two pence, and one penny. Metal compositions include nickel-brass for the one pound, bronze for the one and two pence, and cupro-nickel for the five, ten, twenty, and fifty pence. The reverse designs feature Britannia on the 50p, a Tudor Rose on the 20p, a crowned lion on the 10p, a crowned thistle on the 5p, a flax plant on the one pound, the Prince of Wales’ feathers on the 2p, and a crowned portcullis on the 1p. Included in the set is a black square plaque bearing a crown emblem and the inscription Elizabeth R. 1991. The items are mounted in a black display card within a dark blue textured presentation folder featuring the Royal Mint coat of arms stamped in silver.
Condition report:
The coins are in uncirculated proof condition, displaying mirrored fields and frosted relief with no significant toning. The presentation folder shows minor exterior shelf wear and light surface rubbing.
