A silver 2 1/2 Gulden coin, also known as a Rijksdaalder, issued by the Netherlands in 1939. The obverse features a profile portrait of Queen Wilhelmina facing left with hair gathered in a bun, surrounded by the legend WILHELMINA KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN. The reverse displays the crowned coat of arms of the Netherlands, flanked by the denomination 2 1/2 G and surrounded by the legend MUNT VAN HET KONINGRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN. At the base is the date 1939, flanked by a bunch of grapes mint master mark for H.A. van den Wall Bake and a caduceus mint mark for Utrecht. Struck in .720 fine silver. Catalog Reference: KM# 165.


Condition report:

Very fine. The specimen displays moderate wear on the high points of the hair and the central crown. Surfaces show scattered contact marks and hairlines consistent with circulation. Features attractive golden-brown peripheral toning.
