A 1995 UK two pound coin issued by the Royal Mint to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the United Nations. Struck in nickel-brass, the coin is presented in its original colour-printed card folder. The reverse features the Philip Nathan design of flags radiating from the United Nations emblem, with the inscription NATIONS UNITED FOR PEACE and the dual dates 1945-1995. The obverse depicts the third portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf. This commemorative issue was released to mark the milestone half-century of the international organisation.
Condition report:
Brilliant uncirculated. The coin retains its full original mint lustre. The pictorial presentation folder shows minor shelf wear and light creasing to the corners and edges.
